Lord Deben announced as keynote speaker at EFG AGM

We are pleased to announce that Lord Deben (John Gummer) will be joining us as keynote speaker at our AGM, to be held on Thursday 5th February 2026. Lord Deben is an active member of the House of Lords and is former chair of the UK Climate Change Committee and former Secretary of State for the Environment.

The event will take place from 10am at The Loyd Lindsay Rooms, Ardington, Wantage, Oxfordshire, OX12 8PS. Lift sharing will be offered from all EFG areas.

Lord Deben’s speech will be followed by an update from EFG and a panel session with some key voices in the natural capital sector, including:

  • Andy Creak, CEO and Founder of natural capital platform Kana Earth
  • Eleanor Deeley, Managing Director of housebuilder Deeley Group
  • Luke Baldwin, CEO and Founder of natural capital broker Nature Broking
  • David Wright, Chief Executive of soil carbon programme Ecometric
  • Matthew Jordan, Technical Director of soil carbon programme Regenerate Outcomes

The event will finish with a delicious hog roast provided by Scout & Hunter.
