Upcoming Webinar: ‘Field Drainage: The Foundation of Regenerative Agriculture?’

For generations farmers have appreciated the value of effective field drainage – to remove excess water from the land, for crop productivity and for farm business profitability – not to mention the myriad environmental benefits to be expected from well-drained agricultural soils. And yet, many of the field drainage schemes installed until the cessation of government grant-aid in the mid-1980s are now beyond their service lives, and limited new drainage is being undertaken today.
Join us for the last webinar as part of EFG’s Knowledge Hub, where we will be exploring the vital role of drainage, for both productivity and environmental goals, through the launch of the Allerton Project’s new field drainage trial. We will be joined by Rob Burtonshaw, Managing Director of Farm Services Ltd and Jenny Bussell, Head of Agri-Environmental Science at the Allerton Project to provide some healthy discussion.
